Huzzah! Miniatures is the name of the casting and figure making side of Fighting 15s. Its first range of figures is a range of classic 30mm Seven Years War wargames figures. This range is referred to as Old School Miniatures.Fighting 15s is the trading name of the business run by Ian Marsh. Fighting 15s is the UK distributor of Eureka Miniatures of Australia, and therefore of the 15mm range of AB Figures. Fighting 15s also stocks a range of wargames figures from 3mm to 40mm in height.
Ian Marsh has been wargaming since the age of 12, and began building model kits even earlier. He was a co-editor of DragonLords role-playing fanzine in the 1980s, and went on eventually to edit White Dwarf magazine, leaving Games Workshop in 1986 in pursuit of real money and a career in journalism. He wrote a Doctor Who roleplaying game, Time Lord, published in 1991 by Virgin Publishing. In 2003 he published Huzzah!, a threat-based set of Napoleonic wargames rules, through Oozlum Games on the internet.
Oozlum Games is a joint venture between Mike Lewis of Black Hat Miniatures and Ian Marsh of Fighting 15s. Mike also co-edited DragonLords, and the two of them have been playing games since they were at school together. Oozlum Games published its first printed set of rules, Martian Empires, in 2007, based on the mechanics of Huzzah!
Huzzah! Miniatures takes its name from Huzzah!, Ian’s first set of rules. Which just about brings this information page full circle. So start again from the top…
